As a person grows older, or gets very involved in sports and physical activity, certain joints are put under stress. What causes that pain in your knee when you bend it or do any type of exercise? Your doctor will be able to tell if it will get worse, if knee replacement should be taken into consideration, and what medicines to prescribe to make the pain subside.

For immediate relief from your pain, you should evaluate your regular routine. If your knee causes you pain when you bend it, you should take a break from as many physical activities as you can. Although taking a break is important, you also do not want a lack of physical exercise to cause your knee to become stiff which can also be very painful. Taking over-the-counter pain medications, such as ibuprofen, can help to take the edge off your pain as well.
